The Rapid Response Technique Public Speakers Use to Sound Smart EVERYTIME on Panels, Interviews and Q&A

Creators! Speaking on a panel at a conference soon?

Then you’ll want to hear what I have to share about the the R.A.P.I.D. Response technique that public speakers use to sound smart every time, even when talking on the spot.

This technique is one I developed to help me win the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Pageant in 2015 after losing 2 years before!

In this Facebook Live video I go into detail and give an example of how you can formulate your response using the acronym R.A.P.I.D.

Watch the video to see each point demonstrated in a live example. (For a better view check the video on my Instagram page. )

The R.A.P.I.D. Response Technique to sound smart on your next panel discussion or live interview:

R - RECOGNIZE

Show recognition to your context by acknowledging where you are and who you’re speaking to.

A - ATTENTION

Use a hook to grab the attention of the audience. This can be a statistic, question, story, example, or joke.

P - POSITION

Position your overall response and give reference to the 2-3 main points that you will cover.

I - INTERPRET

Interpret the main points you’ve outlined by talking from your depth of knowledge.

D - DIRECT

Direct your listeners to what you want them to do next. Should they take action? Consider your response? Tell a friend? Tell them directly what you would like from them.

That’s it! If you found this info helpful you’ll love what we will discover in the STORY-to-STAGE 21-Day Speech-Writing Challenge. A 21-day container to create your next spellbinding keynote speech.

dear friend,i went to see Alok Vaid-Menon, trans comedian and activist, perform in mexico city last night, and the thought i left with was: “this person wants me to be more free”as an openly queer woman, it teared me up, to be honest… because though society sometimes labels it as ‘love’, what i’ve heard more than anything else from the people i grew up with is “i want you to be just like me, and if you’re not… you’re not worthy”now, Alok and i share the same mission. i want people to be free…...
